My 25-Year Journey Buying and Selling Chiropractic Domain Names
For over 25 years, I’ve been deeply involved in the world of chiropractic—not just as a chiropractor myself, but as someone who’s helped shape its online presence. From building websites to amassing a portfolio of about 500 exact-match chiropractic domains (think ChiropractorSanFrancisco.com or ChiropracticOrlando.com), this has been a passion project that started in the late ‘90s. Now, more than 25 years later, I launched Chiropractic Domains so that the next generation of chiropractors can acquire their perfect name through sales or lease-to-own options. Here’s my story—and why these domains might be the perfect opportunity for you.

The Early Days: From Computers to Chiropractic Websites
Back in the mid-‘90s, while attending chiropractic school, I was already working with tech—building and selling computers while in college. Then came the internet boom. Websites were still a novelty, and domain names were just becoming a thing. I taught myself HTML coding out of sheer curiosity and started building sites as a side gig. By 1997, I was creating websites for chiropractor friends—about six of them to start—because I saw how powerful an online presence could be for their practices. In 1998, I took the plunge and bought my first domains to pair with those sites. That’s where it all began.
I don’t own those very first domains anymore (sold them years ago), but the experience hooked me. I realized domains weren’t just digital real estate—they were tools to help chiropractors connect with their communities.
Planet Chiropractic: A Game-Changer
In December 1998, I launched PlanetChiropractic.com, a site I still own and operate today. It was groundbreaking for its time—the first chiropractic site with audio interviews, classifieds, an events calendar, and daily updated articles. The chiropractic community embraced it, and its popularity exploded. For years, it was one of the most visited sites in the profession. Interestingly, Planet Chiropractic wasn’t part of my domain-buying strategy—it was a standalone passion project. But it deepened my understanding of what chiropractors needed online, which informed everything else I did.
Building a Portfolio of 500 Exact-Match Domains
Around the same time, I started researching and purchasing chiropractic domains—mostly between 1998 and 2006. My goal? Help chiropractors promote their practices locally. At the time so few chiropractors knew the steps to take to have a successful online presence. I provided the domain, the website, the hosting, and even in some cases the marketing. I targeted popular U.S. cities first—like ChiropracticOrlando.com—then branched out to places I knew well, plus state-based combos like ChiropracticVirginia.com and ChiropractorMaine.com. These weren’t random purchases; I focused on names with high search volume, the kind people type when they’re actively seeking chiropractic care.
Today, I own a remaining 200ish of these exact-match domains, nearly all GEO-based (tied to specific locations) or brands that fit the chiropractic world. Many I’ve utilized since the late ‘90s, and all are “aged” domains—meaning they’ve got history, stability, and SEO potential. Maintaining them hasn’t been cheap—renewal fees add up every year—but I’ve kept only the best, letting go of anything that didn’t deliver value.
The Value of These Domains
So why are these domains special? For one, they’re built for local search. If someone in Orlando types “Chiropractic Orlando” into Google, a domain like ChiropracticOrlando.com is a perfect match—both for the user and for search engines. That’s a huge advantage for chiropractors looking to stand out in their area. Plus, these are aged domains, which search engines tend to trust more than brand-new ones. And here’s the kicker: they hold their value. If a chiropractor ever moves on, they can resell the domain to another practitioner in the same region. It’s an asset that keeps on giving.
Nearing Retirement: Why I’m Selling
After decades of building and developing domains, I’m approaching a new phase in my life. I’ve loved this journey, but it’s time to let the big chiropractic website hosting and marketing companies run the show. I might build 4-6 more chiropractic websites for myself (mostly chiropractic history)—but I’m gearing towards selling the rest of my portfolio. I imagine most will go to chiropractors who see the potential in these names, though they’re also a great opportunity for anyone wanting to invest in premium digital real estate. These domains have been my labor of love, and I’d like to see them put to good use.
